ANALYSIS: Veteran Piston Wayne Ellington has been flying under the radar for far too long this season. It took a streak of great three-point performances from him to put fantasy GMs on notice, although just one of each four of those playing in Yahoo leagues is currently rostering Ellington.
That aforementioned streak was, truth be told, insane. Ellington kicked it off with 24 points (7 triples) on 12 FGA back on Jan. 18 and extended the 4+ 3PM all the way to Jan. 28 when he dropped 6 treys on the Lakers and finished with 20 pops. The last two games through Tuesday weren't that good for Ellington, as he still started at SG but only played 18 MPG while finishing with none and just three points on those games, but if that fire-hot Ellington comes back you might be scoring yourself a steal.
Ellington has averaged 15 PPG in the last two weeks (4.1 3PG) while contributing on the boards (2.3 RPG) and assisting teammates too (1.6). The true shooting marks this guy has been able to post are the stuff of dreams, dropping below 74.3% just once in his hot streak (min. 9 FGA), which all along makes him a more than fantastic WW-target. Ellington is a top-100 player easily no matter the league format, is starting for a rebuilding Pistons team and will keep putting up numbers nightly.
