Even now, in championship week, there are players floating around on the waiver wire who could make a difference for your fantasy team. That includes the five names we’ll highlight here today. Good luck, and thanks for reading all season.

Week 26 Outfield (OF) Waiver Wire Targets

Jacoby Ellsbury, OF, New York Yankees (41% owned)

A midseason swoon had Ellsbury looking like the world’s most expensive fourth outfielder. While the 34-year-old is certainly past his prime at this point, he’s turned back the clock of late. Ellsbury has hit .391/.500/.563 in September, with 17 runs and five stolen bases in six attempts. Just don’t expect much pop – he’s hit only three home runs since May 7.

Mitch Haniger, OF, Seattle Mariners (37%)

Since snapping an 0-for-15 skid on August 30, Haniger has hit .365/.390/.635 with six homers, 28 R+RBI, and two steals. In that time, he’s been held hitless just four times, while logging multiple hits in 11 games. In other words, he’s reclaimed the form he showed during his torrid April before injury derailed his season. The rookie’s resurgence has him ranked just outside the top 2o outfielders and top 50 overall on Yahoo in the last 30 days, yet he’s available in nearly two-thirds of leagues.

Hunter Renfroe, OF, San Diego Padres (20%)

Renfroe’s rookie year hasn’t quite gone as he might have hoped, given that he only recently returned from a demotion to Triple-A. He’s certainly made his presence felt since returning, however, with four homers in five games. Three of those came on Wednesday night. Owners looking for a quick power infusion in the final week could do worse than Renfroe, who is on a 35 HR pace over a full season despite his flaws as a hitter.

Manuel Margot, OF, San Diego Padres (19%)

If speed is what you’re after, the Friars’ outfield has some of that on offer as well in the form of Margot. The rookie leadoff man has swiped three bags on four attempts in his last six games. He’s also showing a little more polish at the plate, as he’s added nearly 20 points of batting average and over 80 points of OPS in the second half of the season. While Margot hasn’t gone deep since August 29, he still has 13 dingers on the year, so there is a bit of pop to be had here.

Teoscar Hernandez, OF, Toronto Blue Jays (1%)

Acquired in the Francisco Liriano trade, Hernandez has hit well after his September call-up. A home run on Sunday gave him five in just 68 trips to the plate since joining the big club, and he’s totaled 24 R+RBI in 21 games. Despite some ugly plate discipline numbers (three walks, 23 strikeouts), Hernandez has been slotted into the leadoff spot in six of his last seven starts. For those in deep or AL-only leagues, the virtually unowned Hernandez could be a nifty add for the final days.
