Chris Archer had his best season in 2015, finishing 11th among starting pitchers in fantasy points in Fleaflicker leagues, but it's hard to really call it a breakout season. His 3.23 ERA and 1.14 WHIP were actually on par with what he had posted in 2013 and 2014. The biggest change was his strikeouts totals-- he fanned 252 batters in 212 innings pitched after racking up just 173 strikeouts in 194.2 innings in 2014. Archer is now 27 years old and has three years of consistent success under his belt. He is someone who can help in all categories, including wins-- the Rays bolstered their offense in the offseason and look to increase last year's win total of 80. While he may not improve much upon his overall numbers going forward, Archer has solidified himself as a high-end SP2 in mixed leagues. He was the 13th ranked starting pitcher in Rotoballer's composite starting pitcher rankings, and figures to come off the board in the fourth or fifth round.
