BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Willy Adames has a seven game hitting and has produced a .320/.399/.491 line with seven homers, five steals, and 49 R+BI since the beginning of August. Of his 12 extra-base hits in that time period, three have come in his hitting streak.
Since August 1st, Adames has walked in 11.2% plate appearances and also has a 38.7% hard hit ball rate in the same time period. Too many ground balls will not help (57.1%), but his 77.3% contact rate and strong hard hit ball rate will continue to lead to hits.
Adames had double-digit totals in home runs and stolen bases in each of his last two minor league seasons and may approach those tallies this season (10 homers and six stolen bases). With the ability to help in multiple positions and the surging Rays offense, Adames is helpful in deeper leagues.
