David Wright won’t be activated this week, according The Daily News.
The New York Mets captain will likely return next week when the Mets begin a four-game series in Philadelphia against the rival Phillies. Spinal stenosis has kept Wright out of the Mets lineup since early April.
#Mets have now ruled out Denver for Wright's return.

There was speculation that Wright would return this weekend when the Mets begin their road trip with a stop first in Colorado against the Rockies. The 32-year-old will have to wait one more week to return to the lineup.
In only eight games this season, Wright owns a .333 BA with 1 HR and 4 RBI. During his rehab assignment, the third baseman has four hits and two walks in 14 at-bats over four games.
There won’t be a better time to rejoin the team because the Mets currently hold a 4 1/2 game lead over the Washington Nationals for first place in the NL East. Wright will likely be eased into action and will likely not be an everyday player for at least the rest of the 2015 season.
