Yahoo! Quarterbacks - Week 3 of the NFL Playoffs DFS Picks
Aaron Rodgers (at ATL, $41)
Aaron Rodgers has been the best fantasy option for DFS at Yahoo this season and that doesn't change as him and the Packers head to Dallas Atlanta to face the Cowboys Falcons this weekend. See how easy this is? Don't get cute folks. Unless you're starting the guy below, along with studs at every other position, Rodgers is the easiest layup of the weekend. At this point it's almost like it doesn't matter who he's even throwing to, as long as they catch the ball.
Ben Roethlisberger (at NE, $30)
While Ryan is enticing and Brady is...well, Brady, I'm going to go with Big Ben as my second option because of his price and the fact that he has the best skill position weapons at his disposal. You could argue there are more good skill options in Atlanta, but they're not all healthy, and Pittsburgh still has the best two in Brown and Bell. I believe the Steelers will make a game of it as Big Ben will deploy the ball to his talented play makers and have a solid day. At just $30 he's a terrific value option for this weekend.
Yahoo! Running Backs - Week 3 of the NFL Playoffs DFS Picks
Ty Montgomery (at ATL, $20)
Montgomery had a big game last week as he scored twice while hauling in six catches for 34 yards and rushing for another 47 against a tough Dallas defense. This week he faces a much softer Falcons squad and the fact that numerous Packers receivers are injured only makes him more valuable. At $20, Ty is a solid value play with a high floor and a pretty darn high ceiling. So join me and get him into all of your lineups.
Tevin Coleman (vs GB, $17)
Coleman has been electric when healthy as he's managed an impressive 13.6 FPPG across his last 10 games. Not only has he churned out yards on the ground, but he usually mixes in a few receptions as well. I expect more of that this week, and would be surprised if Coleman doesn't have at least a couple of catches. On top of that I think that Tevin has a good chance of scoring as this game should likely be a very high scoring affair.
Yahoo! Wide Receivers - Week 3 of the NFL Playoffs DFS Picks
Antonio Brown (at NE, $37)
Brown was relatively quiet last week as he managed to pull in just six of his 11 targets for 108 yards. You know he's ridiculously talented when you say he had a quiet week where he went over 100 yards on the day. This week I expect a similar amount of targets, only with more receptions and a TD or two. As the Patriots concentrate more on Bell Brown should be able to make a big play or two along with several small ones that move the chains.
Julian Edelman (vs PIT, $24)
Edelman has emerged as the best receiving option on the Patriots with Gronk out and that will likely continue this weekend. Going back eleven weeks the fewest amount of targets Julian had in a game was eight as he was only held under 73 yards once in that span. $24 for a guy that will definitely get tons of looks and should get a decent chunk of yardage is a good deal. Outside of a freak injury Edelman might have the highest floor this side of Le'Veon Bell.
Yahoo! Tight End - Week 3 of the NFL Playoffs DFS Picks
Jared Cook (vs ATL, $15)
In case you missed the end of the Packers-Cowboys game this past weekend Jared did his best Ringling Brothers act as he tip toed the sideline while hauling in the pass that got the Packers in range for the game winning field goal. More importantly, Cook has now been targeted a whopping 28 times in the past three weeks for 207 yards and a TD. With several Packers WR injured or playing hurt, I expect Rodgers will go to Jared a bunch more this week and as a result you should too. #hewenttojared
Yahoo! Defense - Week 3 of the NFL Playoffs DFS Picks
Green Bay Packers D/ST (at ATL, $12)
There aren't really any great options this week as all of the offenses left are pretty damn good. Because of this, I am leaning towards the Packers defense because I think they can make a few big plays and cause some turnovers. It's almost as if the Packers have had magic on their side over the past two months; so between them and Pittsburgh I'm going to go with the hotter more magical unit. Plus I'm an owner of the Green Bay Packers, so there's that too.
