Yahoo! Quarterback - Week 17 DFS Picks

Drew Brees (at NO, $41)

Brees has been the second best QB this season at Yahoo as he's averaged a healthy 21.8 FPPG. That number is second to only the wunderkind Aaron Rodgers. This week Brees and company will head to Atlanta to face off with the Falcons and their horrible, terrible, no good defense inside of a dome. Not only have the Falcons allowed 261.7 passing yards per game this season (the seventh most in the league), but they've also allowed 24.9 points per game (the eight most in the league). So here we have one of the best QB playing against one of the worst defenses and the game is weather proof. Check please.

Blake Bortles (at IN, $24)

After exploding for 26.2 points last week Bortles will get to face a poor Indy defense in a dome. I expect a high scoring game that should create a game flow that supports a good line from Bortles, and I love his price. Join me and get Blake into some of your lineups this weekend.

Yahoo! Running Backs - Week 17 DFS Picks

David Johnson (at LA, $41)

Johnson has been the best player in the fake game this season as he's manged an impressive 24.1 FPPG, the most in the league. This week he'll face off against the hapless Rams in sunny southern California. Not only do I expect him to have a huge week, but I think that trying to fade him is a ridiculously bad idea.

LeSean McCoy (at NJ, $35)

Le'Veon Bell will not be suiting up against the Cleveland Browns this week. Because of this I turn my attention to McCoy, who has had an excellent season in his own right. Not only has he posted 19.4 FPPG, but he faces a pathetic Jets defense that allows 100.9 rushing yards per game. I'd take the over on TD's if it were set at one.

Yahoo! Wide Receivers - Week 17 DFS Picks

Mike Evans (vs CAR, $37)

The Panthers have surrendered the most passing yards per game this season as they've allowed the opposition to rack up 273.5 passing yards per game. I believe that number will only go up this week as they head to Tampa Bay to face off with Evans and the Bucs. I believe Evans and his teammates send a big message this week that they're a force to be reckoned with in the NFC South and post ginormous numbers as a result.

Will Fuller V (at TEN, $13)

Fuller has had a solid rookie season as he's posted 7.8 FPPG. He has 14 targets since Brock Osweiler was benched and I fully expect another six to eight targets this week as the Texans face the second worst passing defense in the league. At just $13 I love Fuller's price tag and think that he'll be a strong value play.

Yahoo! Tight End - Week 17 DFS Picks

Jared Cook (at DET, $12)

Cook has received 13 targets over the past two weeks and will face a formidable Lions team in a dome this week. It certainly doesn't hurt that his QB is the best in the league and the game happens to be for the division. Because of all of those circumstances I fully expect Cook to get at least four to five targets in what should be a high scoring and high volume game for Green Bay. At $12 Cook is a nice upside play, but has a decent floor as well.

Yahoo! Defense - Week 17 DFS Picks

Green Bay Packers D/ST (at DET, $15)

In case you haven't noticed the Packers defense has been much improved since Clay Matthews returned to health. This week they'll head to Detroit to face an injured Matthew Stafford and company. While I fully expect the Packers to put up a lot of points, the Lions may have trouble doing so. This could force Stafford into making some poor decisions. This was certainly the case last week against the Dallas Cowboys. It will likely be similar Week 17. I fully expect the Packers to create some turnovers and possibly even score some points.
