Happy Monday night and/or Tuesday morning! Heck, maybe you're reading this Tuesday afternoon or early evening. In any case there is one afternoon game and one late afternoon game along with ten evening games on Tuesday. That's a total of 12 games on the slate for Tuesday, but I'm going to focus on the ten evening games. Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/11/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.
You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.
DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo
Colorado Rockies vs RHP Jered Weaver and the San Diego Padres. Normally the Coors effect is in full force against anyone in DFS, but against Weaver and his batting practice fastball it's a bit of a no-brainer. Seeing as how Jered is awful against righties and lefties this is a bit of a free for all. Get all of the Rockies that you can into your lineups.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo
Jameson Tailon vs CIN ($43)
Tailon and the Buccos are solid favorites over the visiting Reds and a rookie starting pitcher that's actually named Rookie Davis. true story folks. Not only do I expect an easy win, but Tailon should also post solid ratios and a healthy amount of K's. On a day when there aren't that many great pitching options I want to lock in the biggest favorites with the most upside, and Jameson and the Buccos fit the bill.
Cole Hamels at LAA ($44)
Hamels looked decent in his season debut against the Indians and I suspect he'll look much better after a trip west to face Tyler Skaggs and the Angels on Tuesday. Not only has Skaggs looked rough, but outside of a few hitters on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim their offense is weak sauce. I fully expect Hamels to dominate and post solid ratios along with a good amount of K's in a win.
DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo
Catcher (C) - Jonathan Lucroy at LAA ($15)
Lucroy has had a slow start to the season, but I think he makes some noise on Tuesday against LHP Tyler Skaggs. In his career Luc has notched an impressive .294/.346/.492 triple slash against southpaws and on the road against lefties in his career he's managed to post an ISO of .211 and a wRC+ of 133. Not only should he produce, but he'll likely have a low ownership due to his lack of production this season. Those are both good things in the DFS game.
First Base (1B) - Jesus Aguilar at TOR ($8)
Jesus Aguilar has started multiple games for the Brewers against a LHP and I fully expect that to continue on Tuesday. Not only is Aguilar hitting .438 thus far this season, but he's sporting a prime position in the Brewers sneaky good lineup when he does, as he'll likely hit third, fifth or sixth. At just $8 I'm all about him on Tuesday.
Second Base (2B) - DJ LeMahieu vs SD ($17)
As I noted above Jered Weaver is bad and Coors Field is a pretty pretty pretty good place to hit. On top of that DJ has spun a sizzling .334/.388/.464 triple slash at home against RHP in his career. Sometimes it's that easy. Don't miss the layups folks. Just put it in off of the glass.
Shortstop (SS) - Trevor Story vs SD ($20)
I don't love any of the SS options on Tuesday so I might as well go with the Colorado bash brother that gets to face Jered Weaver. Last season Story notched an impressive .276 ISO against RHP and that number went up to .356 at home. Although he's struggled to get it going thus far this season Weaver and some home cooking appear to be a cure for what ails him, so join me and get him in all of your lineups.
Third Base (3B) - Hernan Perez - at TOR ($10)
Last season Hernan posted a .208 ISO against LHP and he'll face LHP JA Happ and the Blue Jays on Tuesday at the Rogers Centre. That is, if he's in the starting lineup. I hope that he is, because he could be an immense value play if that is indeed the case. Make sure you check the lineups beforehand. If Perez isn't in the lineup for whatever reason I'll likely tweet out a pivot play because I'm cool like dat.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo
Jay Bruce at PHI ($16) - Stay hot Jay Bruce! After smacking two HR and taking a walk on Monday Bruce is back in my good graces mostly because he made me some DFS monies. I'm doubling down on Tuesday as the notoriously streaky Bruce and the Mets face off with Clay Buchholz and the Phillies in the band box known as Citizen's Bank Park.
Ryan Braun at TOR ($20) - Braun is one of the few players that I will start in almost any spot when he faces off with a left handed pitcher. That's how good he is in that particular spot. As a reminder he's a career .337/.405/.626 hitter against southpaws with a .289 ISO. Throw in the fact that he'll be facing a LHP that will likely stay in the game long enough for Braun to see at least three at bats, and that all of them will take place in the launching pad known as the Rogers Centre and I can't pass him by. You shouldn't either, because I see good things for you and I.
