Forget about the little early slate. No one wants to play that. This article is going to focus solely on the main slate, which starts at 7:05 PM EST.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/14/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo
Cincinnati Reds vs Tommy Milone
This is an interesting stack for higher upside tournament lineups. Tommy Milone allows 1.754 home runs per nine innings pitched, which is the highest of any pitcher on tonight's slate. The Cincinnati Reds hit well at home, as Cincinnati is a great ballpark for hitters. Milone struggles enough in pitcher-friendly ballparks. The Reds should be able to take advantage of this matchup, and home runs should be prevalent.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo
Clayton Kershaw vs ARI ($60)
Clayton Kershaw has the second best SO/9 on the board tonight, as far as pitchers are concerned. His 10.581 SO/9 is rivaled only by Noah Syndergaard and his 10.626 SO/9. Historically speaking, Kershaw is the better strikeout pitcher, and he is pitching at home. Syndergaard is pitching on the road. The Arizona Diamondbacks only hit well in Arizona, and sometimes, that does not even happen for their offense. Kershaw is going to breeze through this lineup a couple of times. Roster him in all leagues.
Johnny Cueto vs COL ($53)
Recent studies suggest that spending up on pitching results in more fantasy wins for fantasy owners. A win is obviously when a lineup cashes. Johnny Cueto gets a good matchup against the Colorado Rockies, a team much like the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies only hit well in Coors Field, or similar stadiums. Cueto has a solid 1.106 WHIP and 8.285 SO/9. His potential is well beyond what his current SO/9 suggests. He is best suited for tournaments, and he should pick up the win.
DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo
Catcher (C) - Jason Castro vs CWS ($13)
Jason Castro is hitting tonight against the Chicago White Sox and right-hander Dylan Covey. Castro has a 0.12 ISO differential and a 0.094 wOBA differential, which are used to predict value in power and contact hitters. The value is obviously there. He has great splits, and his price tag is reasonable.
First Base (1B) - Joe Mauer vs CWS ($9)
The Minnesota Twins are actually worth consideration as a stack. Joe Mauer is also a left-handed batter, making him especially effective against the right-handed Dylan Covey. The Chicago White Sox are bound to score some runs. Mauer has a 0.073 wOBA differential, so if the bases are juiced when he comes to the plate, fantasy owners will be pleasantly surprised.
Second Base (2B) - Rougned Odor at SEA ($17)
Rougned Odor is one of the better second base options on the board tonight. He is facing off against the right-handed Felix Hernandez, and he should be able to take advantage. His ISO differential is very close to 0.1. He is expected to hit in the heart of the Texas Rangers batting order, as well.
Shortstop (SS) - Taylor Martinez vs TEX ($7)
Speaking of the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, Taylor Martinez is worth consideration in all leagues. He provides quite a bit of salary relief, and his wOBA is a staggering 0.186, which goes to show his immense value. Roster him in all leagues, as he will take away a little bit of the burden associated with Clayton Kershaw's high price tag.
Third Base (3B) - Mike Moustakas vs LAA ($16)
Mike Moustakas is off to a hot start this season. He has a hard hit rate of 40 percent, and his ISO differential is 0.243 tonight. He also has a wOBA differential of 0.127. The Los Angeles Angels are not going to be able to keep him from reaching base safely. Roster him in all leagues.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo
Nelson Cruz vs TEX ($16)
Nelson Cruz is a very powerful batter. He has a ISO differential of 0.161 tonight against Martin Perez and the Texas Rangers. Roster him alongside Taylor Martinez, as Martinez will bring down his higher price tag. Cruz has a great chance to send a ball over that wall. He is hitting fourth, as well, which is always beneficial.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis at CIN ($7)
Cincinnati is a great place for hitters. Kirk Nieuwenhuis will be looking to take advantage of that. He should hit in the heart of the Milwaukee Brewers lineup, and gets good splits against the right-handed Scott Feldman. Nieuwenhuis strikes out quite frequently, but he does have a solid hard hit rate of 55 percent.
