DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo
Texas Rangers versus Kendall Graveman
The Texas Rangers have great upside tonight against Kendall Graveman and the Oakland Athletics. Texas is a great place for power hitters, and Graveman is a right-handed pitcher, so focus on the left-handed bats for the Rangers. Nomar Mazara has been seeing the ball well at the plate, and pairing him with Carlos Gomez is a great move. Joey Gallo is also an underpriced option with home run upside. This stack is best suited for tournaments.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo
Madison Bumgarner at SD ($59)
Madison Bumgarner looked great in his last game. He struck out 11 batters, which is great for seven innings of work. Unfortunately, he allowed three runs, one of which was a home run. Tonight, it will be difficult to allow a home run, as Petco Park is very pitcher-friendly. Bumgarner should have no problems. If only fantasy owners could keep his offensive fantasy production.
Robert Gsellman vs MIA ($33)
Robert Gsellman will start for the New York Mets tonight against the Miami Marlins. Noah Syndergaard is dealing with an injury, the Miami Marlins are poor offensively, and Gsellman is cheap. The stars are aligned here. With a SO/9 approaching nine, Gsellman also has great upside. He should be able to pick up the win, but the Mets offense has been stagnant, so that is not a definite. Gsellman can be rostered in tournaments.
DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo
Catcher (C) - Geovany Soto vs MIN ($12)
Geovany Soto is the best catcher option on the board tonight. He gets a good matchup against Mejia and the Minnesota Twins. Soto thrives against left-handed pitchers, and his price tag is very low. He has an ISO differential of 0.185, which is one of the highest on the board.
First Base (1B) - Carlos Santana at ARI ($20)
Carlos Santana has huge upside tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Zack Greinke struggled last season, even if he did look decent against the San Francisco Giants in his first game. Santana has an ISO differential of 0.135, which is, like Soto, one of the highest on the board. That is a great predictor of tournament value.
Second Base (2B) - Rougned Odor vs OAK ($18)
Rougned Odor needs to be part of most Texas Rangers' stacks. He is eligible at a position that doesn't generally have upside, but he does possess great power. He is hitting fifth in the batting order, which is generally a good spot for RBIs, as well.
Shortstop (SS) - Corey Seager at COL ($23)
Corey Seager is a very powerful left-handed bat in a lineup against a right-handed pitcher in Coors Field. Jon Gray has his work cut out for him tonight. Seager should get the better of him. He has a wOBA differential of 0.096, which is very high and predicts value for cash games.
Third Base (3B) - Joey Gallo vs OAK ($11)
Joey Gallo is far too cheap right now. He is almost as low as possible on Yahoo, and he is a left-handed bat with tremendous power against a sub-par right-handed pitcher.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo
Melky Cabrera vs MIN ($19)
Melky Cabrera is a switch hitter, so it is difficult to ever find him in a bad matchup. He is hitting third for the Chicago White Sox tonight, a team that should take advantage of Mejia's inexperience on the mound. Cabrera can be rostered in all leagues.
Nomar Mazara vs OAK ($17)
Nomar Mazara is worth consideration in all leagues, as well. Pair him with Carlos Gomez, as mentioned in the stacks section. His price tag is too low for his current production at the plate. Kendall Graveman is not going to slow him down.
