BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Indians first baseman Yonder Alonso has a run scored and RBI in each of his last three games started and has three multi-hit games in his last six games. Alonso only has six extra-base hits this month, but he hit a home run on Friday night and is hitting .263 in June.
The batting average bump is a good sign, as Alonso is now up to a .255 batting average this season. While he has not hit for a lot of power this month, he does have 12 home runs thus far this season and looks like he will be close to 25 home runs by the end of the season. While the results are not their, Alonso's 51.2% hard hit ball rate and 30.2% line drive rate in June are truly elite, and his .333 BABIP may actually be a bit unlucky.
Considering the strong line drive and hard hit ball rates posted by Alonso, he may be getting very close to a breakout. It is wise to pick up a player before they break out rather than after they break out, so the window for acquiring Alonso may be closing soon. The Indians' lineup is also one that will give the first baseman opportunities to drive in runs and Alonso should be owned in deeper leagues.
