Garrett Cooper, Miami Marlins

34% Rostered

This now marks the third straight week Cooper is making an appearance on this list. Believe it or not, the Marlins utility man remains one of the more productive and consistent hitters in baseball.

Cooper is currently riding a 10-game hitting streak and he has a .350 batting average over his past 15 games. In that same span, Cooper has lifted a pair of home runs, posted a .900 OPS and .400 OBP, and has driven in nine runs.

Cooper missed a very brief time on the COVID-IL but quickly returned and jumped right back into form. Over the past couple of seasons, he's been a relatively solid option with the bat, it’s just the question of whether or not he can stay healthy.

Cooper should definitely be owned in more than 34% of leagues. While he's healthy and out there producing, fantasy owners should be looking to pick him up to fill a corner infield or outfield spot.

Jake Burger, Chicago White Sox

25% Rostered

With Yoan Moncada back on the injured list with a hamstring injury, Burger has a clear path to everyday playing time at the hot corner. Thus far this season, the 26-year-old has provided a nice little boost in the White Sox lineup.

In 40 games, Burger has eight home runs and 26 RBI while posting a .262 average and .312 on-base percentage. This month alone, he’s hit half of his home runs, has seven doubles and a triple, and has recorded a .937 OPS.

The rookie is quickly making a name for himself in his second stint at the big league level. Burger’s been barreling balls up at a tremendous 15.6% and has been posting above-average exit velocities. The rookie is definitely a name to keep an eye on.

Joey Wendle, Miami Marlins

14% Rostered

Prior to his injury, Wendle was one of the more underrated additions of the 2022 offseason. He was a solid pickup hitting all over the Marlins lineup. That certainly makes a ton of sense as Wendle has always been one of the underrated players in the game.

In 29 games this season the pesky lefty is hitting .284 and has a .340 OBP while stealing four bases and cracking a pair of home runs. Wendle was posting a career-low strikeout percentage (11.3%) and career-high walk rate (7.2%).

Wendle has been sidelined for quite some time now but is on his way back to the field. He recently began a rehab assignment and should be returning to the big league squad soon. He isn't a star but could be a solid asset for fantasy teams moving forward.

Cavan Biggio, Toronto Blue Jays

6% Rostered

I'm not quite ready to give up on Cavan Biggio just yet. Since returning to the big leagues, the 26-year-old infielder has been much more productive in that loaded and talented Blue Jays lineup.

This month Biggio has a .959 OPS, two homers, five doubles, a triple, and 10 RBI in 17 games played. He's been more selective at the plate posting a .419 OBP and drawing 12 walks. He now has a 17.5% walk rate on the year.

While he's struggled at times, Biggio has enjoyed some success at the big league level thus far. Perhaps his ten-game stint in Triple-A helped him regain that form and develop some confidence at the plate. Fantasy owners should definitely keep an eye on him over the next couple of weeks.
