Welcome to the Wednesday, August 7th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on August 7th. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

- Damn, he's got the magic Tauch, man. Mike Tauchman w/combo meal(10th HR/4th SB).
- Tauchman, Brett Gardner(17) & Austin Romine(six) run it back for the second-straight day. Another day in Camden could make it three.

- Fun while it lasted. Asher Wojciechowski collapses again.
- Jorge Soler's smirk, brought to you by Andrew Cashner's lame duck. Two of them actually. Soler w/31HR.
- Jake Junis looked good vs. BoSox. DET next. That's a streamer.
- Mr. Smooth Operator, Mike Trout blasts the cannon for the 38th time.
- Eugenio Suarez reaches 30 smackaroos for the second-straight year. All other stats have trended down from career-year in 2018.
- New Hotness: Aristides Aquino w/2HR, 5RBI, .438AVG in 16AB. I like.
- Bo Bichette doesn't believe in games without a hit. Nine-straight. Attempted to steal twice. Successful once. Things are getting exciting.
- Willy Adames breaks from the ground-pounding(48%GB, 42%Hard hit rates) to increase career-high HR total(15).
- Austin Meadows has sexy numbers?! HA. Only 19HR, 9SB, .288AVG. How Putrid. That is...how do you say...Bush-League. (kneaded, blended, rolled, tossed, and sprinkled with sarcasm). Only 79% owned.
- Jose Abreu is lost but not forgotten. 10.2%Brls/PA. 24th HR.
- Dylan Cease only allowed one walk. Wow.
- The wheels on this butt-whoopin' go round'n'round, round'n'round. Zach Wheeler w/eight scoreless innings........(fine print: marlins)
- Peter Alonso w/ 36th BAM-BAM!
- Brett Anderson w/10 wins; only third time in an 11-year career.
- THUNDER! Kris Bryant unwinds 439ft jack-in-the-box (22).
- Nicholas Castellanos MLB doubles leader (42).
- Ever go bungee jumping? 250ft crane. You just step off...hoping that the rope will stop you before your nose gets buried into the pavement. That is the Jon Lester ride. 4IP, 10ER. At least your ERA still has a nose.
- Super delicious. Yuli Gurriel w/deluxe combo meal. 2HR, SB. 22HR is career-high. He might even set career-high is SB too, at 35 years old.
- No, this makes no sense. Zack Greinke is supposed to get the Astros magic upon arrival, not a tainted W(11). 6IP, 5ER, 2K.
- Raimel Tapia could always fill in for David Dahl. Now he has a chance. Eighth HR, even w/87.9mph avg exit velo.

- Trea Turner w/double-digit dingers(10) last four years.
