3 years agoFrancesco Molinari managed to make the cut at The Players Championship. He never honestly was in contention, however. The Italian golfer shot just well enough but his 74 on Monday kept him staying in the top-30. Since finishing in a tie for sixth at The American Express, Molinari has struggled stringing holes err birdies together. He has lost nearly a half stroke gained off the tee and approaching the green overall. While his putting is ranked 47th, Molinari is just not getting to the green often enough with birdie chances.
