3 years agoMackenzie Hughes put himself in solid position to make the final two rounds at The Players Championship. Then disaster struck. Hughes started the back nine first for Round 2 and shot +4 over through the first nine holes. That included a double bogey on 17 and bogey on 18. That caused the Canadian to miss the cut. It was the third time he missed the cut in 2022. Hughes just could not make enough birdies to overcome his mistakes.
