3 years agoThe Chicago Cubs placed starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay (lat) on the 60-day injured list on Friday to open a roster spot for recently signed Japanese outfielder Seiya Suzuki. Alzolay will miss around the next two months after being diagnosed with a right lat strain this week. The intriguing young right-hander missed almost four months with a very similar injury in 2018, so fantasy managers need to consider his injury when considering stashing him. The 27-year-old from Venezuela has fanned 9.6 hitters per nine innings in his first three major league seasons covering 159 1/3 innings, but the Cubs will be extremely cautious with him in the first half of this season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
