3 years agoHouston Rockets center Christian Wood delivered the best offensive performance of his career during Monday's victory over the Wizards, setting new career bests with eight made triples and 39 points. Wood was enormously efficient, shooting 14-for-18 overall, snagging 10 rebounds as well, to give him 31 double-doubles on the year. While Wood's scoring average has dipped slightly from last season, he is pulling down 10.2 boards per outing, putting him on pace for a career high. He figures to share primary option duties with Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green over Houston's final 10 games, but he remains capable of offensive eruptions like Monday's when serving as the focal point.--Jesse Borek
