2 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Gary Payton II (core) underwent surgery in July, but is expected to be ready for the beginning of the season. The 29-year-old was a useful option with the Golden State Warriors last season. The expectation is that Payton will play a key role off the bench with Portland. It's uncertain if he'll carry daily fantasy value, but could be someone worth looking at in deep leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
