3 years agoChicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine took advantage of DeMar DeRozan's (groin) absence Thursday, using the increased offensive opportunities to collect a season-best 39 points vs. New Orleans. LaVine shot 12-for-23 overall, including 4-for-11 from behind the arc, giving him multiple made triples in 17 of his last 20 games. Even with the offense primarily running through LaVine, he added three assists and three rebounds across his 40 minutes. Next up for Chicago is a matchup with the Cavaliers, who LaVine recorded 23 points and nine assists against back on Dec. 8, his only time playing the division rivals thus far in 2021-22.--Jesse Borek
