3 years agoPhoenix Suns center JaVale McGee (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. McGee has continued to be a solid per minute contributor when utilized off the bench, but the return of Deandre Ayton has made him a non-entity in season-long formats. On the year, McGee has averaged 9.3 points and 6.6 rebounds despite receiving just 15.5 minutes on a nightly basis. His absence paves the way for Bismack Biyombo to see a handful of additional minutes, while Ayton will draw the task of slowing the 76ers' Joel Embiid. The next chance for McGee to take the floor comes Wednesday vs. Golden State.--Jesse Borek
