Greg Brown III Departs Saturday’s Game With Eye Injury
3 years agoPortland Trail Blazers power forward/center Greg Brown III (eye) left Saturday's contest vs. Houston after just six minutes due to an eye ailment that has sent him to a doctor. Brown has seen his playing time jump exponentially over the past month-plus due to widespread injuries on the Portland roster, although he has yet to score in double figures over his last 16 outings. With Trendon Watford (knee) down for at least one of the final two weeks of the year, Brown would stand to see elevated duties in the Blazers' frontcourt if he can ultimately be cleared. The team does not boast many healthy frontcourt options beyond him with CJ Elleby and Keon Johnson candidates to see an uptick in minutes beginning Monday against the Thunder.
