Jordan Poole Drops 26 Points Despite Scuffling From Deep
3 years agoGolden State Warriors point guard Jordan Poole went for a game-high 26 points during Sunday's loss to the Wizards, but it was how he got there shooting-wise that was notable. Poole went a solid 7-for-15 from inside the arc, yet he shot just 1-for-10 from deep, the lowest mark of his career in an outing where he made at least one triple. The third-year guard packed the stat sheet across his 40 minutes, though, by adding nine made free throws, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Buoyed by Stephen Curry's (foot) absence, Poole stands to continue seeing enormous offensive upside over the final two weeks of the regular season, particularly in instances of back-to-backs, such as Monday due to Klay Thompson being unavailable.
