Julius Randle Expected To Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
3 years agoNew York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. Cleveland and is not expected to suit up for the team's four contests over the upcoming week. Randle finishes the year having averaged 20.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, falling just short of qualifying to be one of just 14 players to average a double-double on points and boards this year. After an All-Star campaign in 2020-21, Randle's production took a step back this season, as he shot a career-low 41.1 percent overall, including 30.8 percent from deep. Obi Toppin is likely to see all of the minutes that he can handle over the team's final five outings, while RJ Barrett steps into the lead offensive option role.
