Lonzo Ball Set To Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
3 years agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (knee) is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the 2021-22 year due to a torn left meniscus, per Shams Charania. The injury, which he underwent surgery for, has kept him out of action since January. While Ball's absence has hurt the Bulls' perimeter defense, it has allowed rookie Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White to emerge as a solid source of offense. Ball finishes the season having averaged 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.8 steals per contest, all while knocking down a career-best 42.3% of his shots from deep, a mark that ranks him sixth in the league. While preternaturally talented, Ball has yet to appear in more than 63 regular-season games across his first five seasons.
