3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Talen Horton-Tucker served as the focal point of the team's offense during Thursday's loss to Golden State and wound up dropping the first 40-point outing of his career. With the Lakers' stars sidelined, Horton-Tucker took advantage and shot 15-for-28 overall, also adding four steals, three rebounds, three assists, and two made threes to his enormous evening of production. Horton-Tucker has benefited from being among the starting five this season, averaging 13.5 PPG in that role, as opposed to 8.3 PPG off the bench. With the Lakers eliminated from playoff contention, he figures to play a prominent role over the final two games, beginning Friday vs. the Thunder.--Jesse Borek
