Nikola Jokic Reaches Historic Mark In Thursday’s Victory
3 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has enjoyed one of the most dominant seasons of production in modern NBA history in 2021-22. He continued to pack the stat sheet in Thursday's win over Memphis, dropping 35 points on 16-for-24 shooting, adding 16 rebounds, six assists, and four steals, as he once again starred and delivered on his enormous fantasy expectations. While doing so, Jokic became the first player in league history to record 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 500 assists in the same season, a staggering notch in his quest for back-to-back MVP awards. With their playoff seeding not yet sewn up, Jokic could again be in line for significant run in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Lakers, a team whom he dropped 38 points and 18 boards against last Sunday.
