3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb will be on a soft pitch count on Opening Day against the Miami Marlins on Friday, according to manager Gabe Kapler. Webb might not go as deep into his first start of the season as his fantasy managers would hope for, but you should still be starting him regardless in an excellent matchup. The 25-year-old reached four innings in his final Cactus League game, so fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect him to go much further than five frames on Friday. Webb was excellent in his third season with the Giants in 2021, going 11-3 with a career-low 3.03 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with a career-high 26.5% strikeout rate and a career-low 6.0% walk rate in 148 1/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
