LeBron James Will Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers power forward/center LeBron James (ankle) has been ruled out for the final two contests of the year due to a left high ankle sprain. James pushed through the injury to suit up prior to the Lakers' elimination from playoff contention, but the organization sees little reason to have him suit up Friday against Oklahoma City or Sunday vs. the Nuggets. He finishes the year having averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game, his highest scoring mark since 2005-06. Injuries limited James to just 56 contests this season, but he remained an elite fantasy asset whenever he was available. Fantasy managers can expect Talen Horton-Tucker and others to shoulder the offensive load over the final two games. James figures to remain a first-round redraft choice come '22-23, irrespective of where he plays.
