Carmelo Anthony Remains Sidelined For Friday’s Contest
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers power forward Carmelo Anthony (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Oklahoma City, his second straight outing on the sidelines. The Lakers are holding out their primary offensive contributors alongside Anthony, with LeBron James (ankle), Anthony Davis (foot) and Russell Westbrook (shoulder) all missing at least Friday's outing. Anthony's absence from the second unit paves the way for Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, and Wenyen Gabriel to all carry elevated roles against an exploitable Thunder defense. The veteran's last chance to suit up this year comes Sunday against Denver.
