Obi Toppin Drops Career-High 35 Points In Victory
3 years agoNew York Knicks power forward Obi Toppin enjoyed the best offensive outing of his career during Friday's win over Washington, pouring in a career-high 35 points on 14-for-22 shooting overall, including going 6-for-9 from behind the arc. The absence of Julius Randle (quad) has paved the way for Toppin to take on an elevated workload and he has responded with an average of 23.5 PPG over his last four outings. Entering the night, Toppin had knocked down just 40 threes in 70 games, but the 24-year-old took advantage of his No. 1 scoring option status. He figures to remain an integral cog for New York in their season finale Sunday against the Raptors, giving him sizable DFS appeal in all formats.
