Yordan Alvarez Scuffling At Plate To Start Season
3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez has not gotten off to the start fantasy managers had hoped for in the 2022 season. The 24-year-old has just two hits in his first 17 plate appearances. Those hits were a double and a home run, and he has also walked three times, so fantasy managers just need to be patient with his average as the season gets underway. The Astros will start a two-game series on the road against the Diamondbacks Tuesday and are slated to face the top of their rotation in Madison Bumgarner and Merrill Kelly. While both had good starts their first time around, these matchups could be just what Alvarez needs to get things on the right track.
