Logan Webb Goes Eight Strong Innings Wednesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb became the first player in the majors to pitch eight innings in an outing on Wednesday afternoon, allowing just one run on four hits and no walks to pick up his first win of the season. He struck out eight batters. With just 96 pitches, Webb may have been allowed to finish the game if not for the abbreviated spring training. The Giants have now won 15 consecutive regular-season Webb starts, and it appears his breakout 2021 was no fluke. Fantasy managers should have confidence that he can sustain excellent ratios and strikeout numbers as a borderline SP1.
