3 years agoNew York Yankees reliever Michael King picked up his first save of the season on Thursday, helping his club defeat the Blue Jays 3-0 in the series finale. Aroldis Chapman began the ninth inning, but he was pulled after issuing three-straight walks to begin the frame and tossing just four of his 16 pitches for strikes. Manager Aaron Boone was quicker with the hook than he has been in previous seasons, and King didn't disappoint his skipper by striking out George Springer on three pitches before getting Bo Bichette to line out into a double play. Chapman's role as closer could be slipping from his grasp as saves in New York could come from multiple arms the rest of the way this season.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
