Gary Trent Jr. Doubtful For Game 2 On Monday
3 years agoToronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (illness) is unlikely to play during the playoff matchup against the 76ers. Trent had a rough go during Game 1, finishing with nine points on 2-for-11 shooting. He was projected to take on a more prominent role in Game 2 on Monday night after Scottie Barnes (ankle) suffered a sprained left ankle in the series opener. However, with Barnes and Trent unlikely to suit up, Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet will likely handle most of the work on the offensive end. There's also room for OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa to get even more involved as well. Fortunately for the team, Trent is dealing with a non-COVID-related illness, so there's a chance he'll make it back for Game 3 on Wednesday evening.
