Scottie Barnes Will Miss Game 2 Monday
3 years agoToronto Raptors small/power forward Scottie Barnes (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the 76ers due to a sprained left ankle. Barnes arrived Monday wearing a walking boot, indicative of the severity of the ailment. The Rookie of the Year finalist compiled 15 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in his first playoff game Saturday, but the Raptors will now have to find a way to match his production. OG Anunoby is likely to see an elevated role on the wing, while Chris Boucher could form a frontcourt tandem with Pascal Siakam. With Gary Trent Jr. (illness) and Thaddeus Young (thumb) unlikely to play as well, it will be an all-hands-on-deck approach for Toronto. Game 3 is Wednesday, giving Barnes little time to rest and recover.
