Giannis Antetokounmpo Struggles Shooting In Game 7
3 years agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 25 points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists during the Game 7 playoff loss to Boston. He also added two steals and a block. The Freak played over 40 minutes for the fourth consecutive game, so his rough 10-for-26 shooting effort was likely due to fatigue. Yet, and to the Celtics' credit, the team also did a fantastic job preventing him from taking easy shots, which is partly why the Bucks aren't advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. Nonetheless, with Milwaukee's season now over, Antetokounmpo will get some much-needed rest. Hopefully, during his time off, he'll work on his percentages, including from the free-throw line, because if he doesn't, category managers will continue to suffer. However, the 27-year-old is expected to remain in the MVP conversation for many years to come.
