3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed starting pitcher Michael Kopech on the paternity list on Tuesday and selected the contract of right-hander Davis Martin from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The team also recalled right-hander Kyle Crick from Charlotte for the doubleheader and moved left-hander Garrett Crochet to the 60-day injured list. Kopech will be away from the team for at least three days, so he could make his next scheduled start on Friday against the New York Yankees. The 26-year-old has been lights-out in seven starts with a 1.54 ERA and 33 K's in 35 innings. Martin will make his big-league debut in Game 2 against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday, but he's expected to head right back to the minors after the start.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
