3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson has received a one-game suspension and a fine from Major League Baseball for his comments made to Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson on Saturday. Donaldson is appealing the suspension after being placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Monday. The 36-year-old hasn't yet tested for the virus, but he's experiencing symptoms and is away from the team for now. It remains to be seen when Donaldson will return to the active roster, but when he does, he might have to sit out another game due to the suspension. In his absence, infielders Marwin Gonzalez and Gleyber Torres should see increased playing time for the Bombers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
