3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates placed first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) and relief pitcher Heath Hembree (calf) on the injured list on Tuesday. Vogelbach is on the 10-day list while Hembree is on the 15-day list, retroactive to May 21. Right-handed pitcher Roansy Contreras was called up to start Tuesday's game in a corresponding move. Meanwhile, outfielder Cal Mitchell was recalled as well. Vogelbach is off to a solid start to his first year with the Pirates. Over 34 games, he's slashing .241/.321/.457 with six home runs, 14 RBI and 14 runs. His injury designation is a left hamstring strain.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
