2 years agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson (hand) left the game early on Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks with what appeared to be a hand injury after a foul tip went off his right hand. Stephenson went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in the contest before leaving. We'll have more information on the severity of his injury when it becomes available, but fantasy managers should at least expect Stephenson to be out of action on Friday. The 25-year-old has been one of the best hitting catchers in baseball this year, batting .309 with five home runs and 31 RBI, so losing him for any stretch of time will hurt. Aramis Ramirez replaced Stephenson behind the plate on Thursday and will see more playing time if Stephenson requires a lengthy absence.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
