2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres has been working to find his swing after he hit too many ground balls last season. Torres' on-base percentage is at a career-low, but he has already hit 12 home runs in 2022, three more than he hit last season. His fly-ball rate has taken a big jump, he has hit the ball harder and he has regained some confidence at the plate. "He has really turned the clock back," general manager Brian Cashman said. "It's been what we thought we had, not what we've been seeing the last year and a half." His ground-ball rate has dropped from 41.5% last year to 32.5% this year, while his hard-hit rate was at 25.8% in 2021 compared to 37.3% so far in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
