An extension would pay him $186 million over five seasons, with the team expected to add protection to the contract in the event of another injury. The 21-year-old has averaged 25.7 points, 7.2 boards, and 3.7 assists throughout his tenure in New Orleans. Yet, he's played only 85 games since entering the league, missing the entire 2021-22 season because of a broken foot.
