Jack Flaherty Activated, Set To Start On Wednesday
3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals have activated right-hander Jack Flaherty (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list. He is set to make his season debut as the team's starting pitcher in Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Flaherty has been sidelined all year with right shoulder inflammation. He made a pair of rehab starts over the past few weeks and produced strong results, allowing just one hit, one walk and one earned run over seven innings while striking out nine. Feel free to fire him up in all fantasy formats with a favorable matchup against a weak Pirates offense. He likely won't pitch very deep into the game but he has a good chance of coming through with four or five strong innings.
