Luis Robert In Midst Of 17-Game Homer Drought
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert has been getting on base with a good amount of regularity lately, batting .279 with a .323 OBP in June. However, he hasn't been providing much power from the plate for nearly a month now. Over his last 17 games, Robert hasn't hit a single home run and has just two doubles. He has a .311 slugging percentage thus far in June. The 24-year-old has seen his average exit velocity dip from 91.2 mph last year to 89.6 mph this year, while his barrel rate has experienced a similar decrease, falling from 12.5% last year to 9.4% this year. He still maintains a strong .301 xBA (88th percentile) on the year, which suggests there's some room for growth in his current .283 batting average. However, his fantasy game will take a big hit if he's not able to improve upon his power metrics soon.
