P.J. Tucker Declining Player Option
2 years agoMiami Heat forward P.J. Tucker will decline his $7.4 million player option and become a free agent. The 37-year-old has averaged 7.1 points, 5.6 boards, and 1.1 steals throughout his career. With numbers like that, Tucker hasn't been known as the most impactful fantasy option on the planet. However, he can get hot every now and then, especially if given more opportunities on both ends of the floor. The veteran should garner plenty of attention over the summer due to his tenacity, durability, and leadership, so it shouldn't take long before he finds a new home while getting paid in the process. Still, he probably won't get much fantasy consideration wherever he signs, although he may get his time to shine as a streaming option during the 2022-23 season.
