3 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann (wrist) is making his return to the starting lineup for Saturday's game against left-hander Trevor Rogers and the Miami Marlins. McCann was activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday. However, he was held out of Friday's game as Tomas Nido served as the team's catcher for the contest. McCann was on the shelf for about a month and a half after fracturing his left hamate bone. The team optioned fellow catcher Patrick Mazeika to Triple-A on Friday, so McCann and Nido will be the team's only catchers going forward.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
