3 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Jonah Bride (shoulder, nose) was involved in a collision with teammate Chad Pinder on Sunday. The two players ran into each other while tracking down a foul ball. They were both down on the field in pain after the incident, but Pinder wound up staying in the game while Bride was pulled. After the contest, A's manager Mark Kotsay stated that Bride had a laceration on his nose and a "banged up shoulder" from the collision. He didn't require any stitches and he didn't suffer a concussion. The 26-year-old rookie will avoid the injured list and he is being considered day-to-day.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
