Juan Soto Walks Four Times In Sunday's Win
3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto had five plate appearances in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Texas Rangers and he wound up reaching base on each occasion. He went 1-for-1 with a single, four walks and two runs scored in the game. The 23-year-old has continued to have an underwhelming season overall. He's batting just .171 in June, lowering his season-long batting average to .218. On the bright side, his league-leading 19.1% walk rate has led to a reasonable .372 OPS and his 14 home runs have him on a 162-game pace of about 31 homers.
