Rafael Devers Reaches Base Four Times In Sunday's Win
3 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers helped lead the team to an 8-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. He went 3-for-5 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in the game. The 25-year-old has been one of the most lethal hitters in the majors this year and looks destined to put together his best offensive season to date. Across 71 games this season, he's hitting .334/.392/.606 with 17 home runs, 45 RBI and 55 runs. His peripheral numbers are even more encouraging as he's maintaining career-highs in average exit velocity (94.2 mph), xBA (.331), hard-hit rate (54.5%) and xSLG (.613).
