2 years agoNew York Yankees middle infielder Gleyber Torres' (ankle, wrist) ankle is doing well, but he underwent an MRI exam on his right wrist on Monday. His wrist is structurally sound, but he received a cortisone injection and is unlikely to swing a bat until Wednesday. Torres suffered a mild ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Houston Astros, and he's not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Oakland Athletics. The 25-year-old is also dealing with a bum right wrist, so there's a good chance he'll be out through at least Wednesday. Hopefully for his fantasy managers, the combination of the ankle and wrist injury won't affect his swing at the dish moving forward. Torres has been making much more hard contact in 2022 and is already up to 13 home runs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
